Motorola announces Corning® Gorilla® Glass will be brought to entire smartphone portfolio

At Motorola, we’re dedicated to delivering cutting-edge technology, and ensuring it is accessible across all franchises. Today, to further our commitment to durability, we’re excited to announce that the entire 2024 portfolio of Motorola devices will feature Corning® Gorilla® Glass, starting in the second half of this year.

Gorilla Glass was developed by Corning Incorporated, one of the world’s leading innovators in materials science. For more than 15 years, it has helped transform the ways people interact with their smartphones. Many Motorola smartphones already feature Gorilla Glass, and this announcement further underscores Motorola’s commitment to delivering high-quality products that incorporate cutting-edge materials and technologies. This partnership builds on Lenovo’s collaboration with Corning in the laptop and tablet categories by featuring Gorilla Glass on select Lenovo laptops and tablets.

From cameras and displays to processors and software experiences, Motorola meticulously engineers every smartphone to provide users with a balanced smartphone experience.

“Consumers today continue to demand reliability and durability without compromising on sleek, modern design,” said Ruben Castano, Motorola’s Head of Customer Experience. “By using Corning Gorilla Glass across all Motorola franchises, we aim to lead the industry by ensuring that every consumer has access to the durability and peace of mind that comes with this cutting-edge technology.”

Gorilla Glass helps enable modern smartphone designs with its toughness and superior durability. Trusted by leading smartphone manufacturers worldwide, this innovative glass technology provides exceptional damage resistance to drops and scratches, while still allowing for sensitive touch response and immersive user experiences.
