With the new motorola edge devices, you can now activate Ready For wirelessly and experience Ready For PC1, offering seamless and simultaneous access to both your phone apps and PC files all on the same screen. Getting twice as much done in half the time.These are just a few of the updates to the Ready For platform we released today. 

Connect Wirelessly, Go Anywhere 

With a wireless Ready For experience, get the benefits of an expanded mobile experience while keeping your phone by your side. Preparing for a big meeting? Now there’s no need to fumble around to find the right cable to present. Wirelessly connect to the big screen and control the content from your phone. With a wireless connection, Ready For is the most flexible way to bring your mobile games, TV shows and video calls to the big screen, sit anywhere in the room, and still use your phone to text friends, make a call, or do whatever you need to keep your day moving.

To experience Ready For wirelessly, simply connect your smartphone with a display that has miracast technology. From your Motorola device, pull down the notification bar and tap on Ready For in the Quick Settings panel. You’ll see a list of available external devices to connect with.Choose the display you want to connect to and tap Start Now. Once connected, the Ready For Experience Hub will automatically appear on your display. 

A More Intuitive User Experience

We’ve continued to evolve the Ready For user experience so it’s easy to find and simple to use. You can now start your Ready For experience from quick settings.Simply tap the Ready For icon and instructions will appear to easily connect to a bigger screen. Navigate the Ready For platform with ease thanks to the new remote control feature. Switch from the trackpad to the new remote control, which has built-in air mouse capabilities and remote like buttons. Air mouse means your cursor will follow the movement of your hand and browse through your applications.Remote like buttons are included for easy access to some key features like the Experience Hub, or quick access to settings.

2 OS, 1 Screen with Ready For PC

Phones are critical to capture the content, pictures and videos people present across many forums – social media, presentations, or even a documentary film. But when it’s time to actually edit your content in those forums, people rely on the power of the PC applications and a bigger screen. Now with Ready For PC1, avoid the multiple step sharing process, and easily view and share your content to your PC to make your editing process simpler than ever. Even your phone notifications are easily accessible on one screen, no need to switch back and forth between devices or open unnecessary tabs. 

To access Ready For PC, ensure your mobile device and PC share the same Wi-Fi network. Then simply download the Ready For assistant application on your Windows device from www.motorola.com/ready-for. Open the Ready For assistant and a QR code will appear. Scan the QR code from your Motorola smartphone and then your Ready For Mobile Desktop appears on your Windows screen. 

On the go with no internet? No problem! Use your mobile phone’s data to connect to Ready For PC. From the Ready For Assistant application, click Share Mobile Data and connect your device via a USB-C.

Transform your Smartphone into a Full HD webcam

With Ready For PC, you can turn your smartphone into a Full HD webcam2, which has a much better quality than most webcams and is compatible with all webcam-enabled applications. Integrated in Ready For PC, the webcam seamlessly works with video call services and social media platforms for live streaming. Add life to your meetings, streams, and broadcasts by moving freely around the room thanks to advanced subject tracking.

Availability

Simply connect your phone to another screen through our wired, wireless, or PC options. Ready For and Ready For PC works wired and wirelessly on motorola edge 20 pro, and wirelessly on motorola edge 20 and motorola edge (2021). Motorola edge 20 lite owners can experience Ready For PC.2
