Motorola unveils moto g55 5G and moto g35 5G: two entertainment powerhouses

The moto g55 5G and moto g35 5G feature large FHD+ LCD displays, offering bright colors and crisp visuals. This allows the screen to look great even in bright settings. Complementing the vibrant displays, both devices come equipped with stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos® support to immerse users in a sound experience that comes alive with greater depth, clarity and detail.

For days filled with back-to-back video calls or nights spent texting or chatting with friends, users can depend on a 5000mAh battery to keep them going. When it is time to fuel up, the moto g55 5G supports 30W TurboPower™ charging2, and the moto g35 5G offers 18W fast charging.3

Better action photography at one’s fingertips

Users can take brilliant photos with the 50MP camera system featuring Quad Pixel4 and autofocus technology. This allows them to capture the best plays and performances at sporting events, concerts, and more. These devices also have an 8MP ultrawide camera for creative group shots or spread-out landscapes. And they feature a 16MP selfie camera with Face Retouch mode, so that everyone looks their best.

With the moto g55 5G, consumers can look forward to a Macro Vision lens that helps capture intricate details and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) to create shake-free, detailed images.

Stylish designs that are built to last

Offering a sleek look and tactile feel, both devices feature a water-repellent design.5 Users can choose between a smooth, matte finish or soft, vegan leather. The moto g55 5G is available in trend-forward colors like Forest Grey, Smoky Green, and Twilight Purple, while the moto g35 5G comes in playful options like Leaf Green, Guava Red, Midnight Black, and Sage Green.6 Plus, to protect against everyday mishaps, their displays feature Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3 for an extra layer of durability.

5G connectivity for updates in real-time

Bringing users a fast and reliable entertainment experience, both devices support 5G connectivity7 and up to 256GB of storage8 with RAM Boost.9 The moto g55 5G packs in up to 12GB of RAM, while the moto g35 5G features up to 8GB. 

The moto g55 5G is also powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 processor with frequencies up to 2.5GHz, delivering lag-free gaming and streaming. It also enables exclusive Motorola software experiences like Smart Connect,10,11 which allows users to make the most of their smartphone, tablet, TV, and Windows PC. Smart Connect gives consumers the power to share files and images between devices or take their phone’s content to their big screen TV.

The motorola edge 50 series delivers a perfectly balanced mobile experience to consumers, being a perfect fusion between art and technology. Today, Motorola – a Lenovo company – announces two new members of this family: the motorola edge 50 and motorola edge 50 neo

These new devices combine a harmonious design, with great colors and premium finishes, with a durable build, from underwater protection2 to military grade certification¹, which means the phone passed several durability tests and can withstand extreme environmental conditions. A great camera system, powered by moto ai, will allow the edge 50 and edge 50 neo users to explore their creativity and have great photo results in different scenarios or lighting conditions.

Harmonious design with proven durability

The new motorola edge 50 devices were designed to be as stunning to look at as it is durable. Both devices are protected to IP68 standards², designed to withstand dust, dirt, and sand over 1mm in size, along with submersion in 1.5 meters of fresh water for up to 30 minutes, and were engineered to meet military standards for durability¹, with a MIL-STD-810H rating, passing rigorous tests for durability and use in extreme environmental conditions¹. They also feature the added durability of Corning Gorilla Glass.

The new motorola edge devices come with an exceptionally slender and lightweight body, perfectly blended camera housing, trending colors curated by Pantone and premium materials like vegan leather or vegan suede. The motorola edge 50 has a curved display and will be available in three colors: Jungle Green, Koala Grey and the Pantone Color of the Year, Peach Fuzz. 

And there is also a segment of consumers that are looking for devices that don’t sacrifice on specs while having a more compact form factor that perfectly fits in their hands. The motorola edge 50 neo was designed with them in mind, and to fit different lifestyles it arrives in four color options: Pantone Poinciana, Pantone Lattè, Pantone Grisaille, and Pantone Nautical Blue.

Create content effortlessly with the new edge devices 

To keep up with users’ lifestyles, Motorola is bringing to motorola edge 50 and motorola edge 50 neo camera systems powered by moto ai, allowing consumers to create and capture their content effortlessly in any setting or lighting. That’s why these devices’ main camera combines  the superior light sensitivity of Sony’s LYTIA™ sensor with moto ai image processing to do the extra work. Working behind the camera sensors, moto ai image processing works with all lenses to analyze multiple frames of a photo, blending exposures to create a true-to-life image. Unlike other methods, it works directly on the uncompressed image to preserve hidden details, richer colors, and subtle textures. We’ve also included moto ai enhancements for video recording. Adaptive Stabilization that automatically adjusts to the user’s movement, providing extreme stabilization when they need it. motorola edge 50 users can also opt for the Long Exposure feature to capture on moving water or light trails with a single tap—no professional equipment needed.

When streaming movies or playing games, users of the new motorola edge devices will experience over one billion colors, infinite contrast, HDR10+ brightness support and a stunning Super HD (1220P) display, that offer 13% more resolution then the previous generation of motorola edge family. The motorola edge 50 features a borderless endless edge 6.7″ pOLED display while the motorola edge 50 neo is packed with a 6.4” pOLED display.

Three Point Play: Motorola Teams Up with Top College Athletics Departments

Motorola today announced a multi-year agreement with Learfield – a media and technology company powering college athletics – to become the Official Partner of Alabama Athletics, an Official Partner of Oklahoma Athletics, and an Official Corporate Sponsor of Texas Athletics.

The strategic alliance between Motorola and these powerhouse college athletics departments marks a pivotal step in bolstering our brand presence and accelerating growth throughout North America through student and fan engagement, custom content, and in-venue signage at each of the three campuses.

The partnership will not only drive awareness for the new motorola razr family, but aims to enhance the Motorola brand through innovative campaigns and interactive experiences tailored to the interests and values of today’s younger generation.

As part of the partnership, Motorola will team up with Learfield Studios to create several unique branded content series with student-athletes at both Alabama and Oklahoma. Motorola will also create social brand advertising campaigns that will be distributed via each school’s official athletics accounts and digital platforms to further drive brand affinity and product engagement.

Today, this spirit continues as Motorola introduces Moto Customization, a new device management tool for b2b customers under the ThinkShield for mobile platform for business users. This new tool gives IT admins the ability to remotely customize Motorola devices in bulk, tailoring them to specific business needs, out-of-the-box.

Moto Customization brings a suite of features designed to help businesses customize device settings, content and apps, independent of a mobile device management solution. With the ability to deploy bulk updates and out of the box setup, the solution simplifies the process of device customization through a  centralized configuration control.  This minimizes manual intervention, reducing deployment time and ensuring consistency. Customers can also take advantage of advanced features like changing the boot animation, skipping the setup wizard, and enabling Kiosk Mode (a mode that allows IT admins to lock the device to run a singular app or predefined set of apps).

motorola x chicago cubs announce official jersey patch partnership

Hey Chicago, what do you say? The Cubs and Motorola are teaming up today! 

Motorola hit a home run with today’s announcement of a multi-year partnership with the Chicago Cubs, bringing an exciting new addition to our North American sports partnership portfolio and strengthening our brand connection with sports fans across the world. This new partnership not only aligns with Motorola’s growth strategy but also opens opportunities to drive consumer engagement with our brand and products. 

a grand slam deal

The partnership will bring the iconic Motorola “batwing” logo to all Cubs jerseys, both at home and on the road, which will drive strong visibility for the Motorola brand. The new team jerseys will make their debut tonight at Wrigley Field when the Cubs take on the St. Louis Cardinals.

In addition to being the Cubs’ first-ever Official Jersey Patch Partner, Motorola will have various in-ballpark signage elements, an endorsement deal with Cubs shortstop Dansby Swanson, and fundraiser sponsorship opportunities with Cubs Charities. All of this will allow the Motorola brand to grow and connect with Cubs and sports fans both on and off the field.

To further drive engagement with Wrigley Field attendees, Motorola has a permanent space, the motorola razr room, at Gallagher Way next to the Cubs Team Store (3643 N. Clark St.). Currently, the space houses the Ryne Sandberg pop-up exhibit and offers opportunities to engage with the newest Motorola devices. Come September, the motorola razr room will be transformed into the Chicago Cubs Hall of Fame pop-up exhibit featuring memorabilia from Aramis Ramírez and Kerry Wood’s baseball career.
