The motorola edge 50 series delivers a perfectly balanced mobile experience to consumers, being a perfect fusion between art and technology. Today, Motorola – a Lenovo company – announces two new members of this family: the motorola edge 50 and motorola edge 50 neo.

These new devices combine a harmonious design, with great colors and premium finishes, with a durable build, from underwater protection² to military grade certification¹, which means the phone passed several durability tests and can withstand extreme environmental conditions. Harmonious design with proven durability

The new motorola edge 50 devices were designed to be as stunning to look at as it is durable. Both devices are protected to IP68 standards², designed to withstand dust, dirt, and sand over 1mm in size, along with submersion in 1.5 meters of fresh water for up to 30 minutes, and were engineered to meet military standards for durability¹, with a MIL-STD-810H rating, passing rigorous tests for durability and use in extreme environmental conditions¹. They also feature the added durability of Corning Gorilla Glass.

The new motorola edge devices come with an exceptionally slender and lightweight body, perfectly blended camera housing, trending colors curated by Pantone and premium materials like vegan leather or vegan suede. The motorola edge 50 has a curved display and will be available in three colors: Jungle Green, Koala Grey and the Pantone Color of the Year, Peach Fuzz.

And there is also a segment of consumers that are looking for devices that don’t sacrifice on specs while having a more compact form factor that perfectly fits in their hands. The Pantone Color of the Year, announced by the Pantone Color Institute, is an educational program reflecting on the symbolic nature of color. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Pantone Color of the Year program with the chosen color PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz. A velvety gentle peach hue, PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz has a cozy, tender essence that embodies feelings of togetherness, community and collaboration.

Google Photos Auto Enhance is now available exclusively in the Motorola camera interface on the new motorola edge 40 neo, motorola edge 40, moto g84 5G and moto g84 5G

More than 93% of Motorola consumers effortlessly open the camera application and capture photos without any additional settings or post-capture editing. With that in mind, Motorola will add the Google Photos Auto Enhance algorithm into the camera software of the new motorola edge 40 neo, motorola edge 40, moto g84 5G and moto g54 5G.

Users can toggle the Auto Enhance option in the camera’s user interface to instantly enhance color and lighting after a photo is taken. Once applied, the AI-based algorithm adjusts the components of each photo, carefully analyzing the image and automatically improving white balance, exposure, highlights, shadows, contrast, saturation, and more.

The effect of Google Photos Auto Enhance is subtle yet impactful and the image processing will automatically happen in the background, so the user doesn’t need to worry about missing the moment.

On top of it, Motorola smartphones use Google Photos as the native application for all photos and videos, automatically organizing them so they’re searchable by the people, places, and things in them. This means users’ photos and memories are always easy to find and share.
