In the United States, the new razr ultra will be available for pre-order at Best Buy, Amazon.com, and motorola.com on May 7 and on-sale universally unlocked on May 15 (MSRP: $1,299.99). The device will also be available at AT&T and T-Mobile on May 15.²⁷ In Canada, the new razr ultra will be available for pre-order on motorola.ca and Rogers on May 7 (MSRP: $1,899.99), with subsequent availability at motorola.ca on May 15 and Rogers on June 3.²⁷

In the United States, the new razr will be available for pre-order at Best Buy, Amazon.com, and motorola.com on May 7 and on-sale universally unlocked on May 15 (MSRP: $699.99).²⁷ The device will also be available at T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, Cricket Wireless, Verizon, Visible, Total Wireless, Straight Talk, Xfinity Mobile, Consumer Cellular, Google Fi Wireless, UScellular, Cox Mobile, Optimum Mobile, and Spectrum on May 15, and Boost Mobile in the coming months. Our commitment to sustainability

Motorola is working to provide smarter technology that builds a brighter future while achieving sustainability goals as part of Lenovo Group. With this in mind, the new razr devices incorporated a range of recycled materials into the phone’s design, including recycled aluminum, post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics, and ocean-bound Polyethylene Terephthalate (OBP), responsibly sourced from coastal regions to divert plastic waste from entering oceans. The plastic used in the front camera bracket of razr 60 ultra/razr+ contains a minimum of 70% recycled content, consisting of 65% post-consumer recycled plastics and 5% ocean-bound Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), which has been independently verified by third parties in accordance with ISO 14021. At Motorola, a Lenovo company, we’re constantly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with mobile technology, and our latest collaboration with Corning Incorporated takes that mission to a whole new level. By combining our unparalleled innovation with Corning’s expertise in glass technology, we embarked on a unique journey to the North Pole to test the limits of the camera technology and overall durability of some of our newest smartphones —the motorola razr+/ razr 50 ultra and motorola edge 50 ultra.

Motorola followed Po Ki Yuen, a recently retired Corning engineer and adventure photography enthusiast, on his journey to one of the Earth’s most remote and challenging environments. The North Pole expedition was more than an adventure—it was a real-world test of how these cutting-edge devices could perform under extreme conditions. Motorola’s sleek smartphones, equipped with exceptionally durable Corning® Gorilla® Glass, were put to the ultimate test while on this journey: the unpredictable weather of the Arctic.*

Equipped with Corning’s renowned Gorilla Glass, motorola razr 50 ultra/razr+ and motorola edge 50 ultra were better protected from drops and scratches brought on by the inhospitable landscape, ensuring that Po Ki never missed a moment. Whether it was hiking through snow or handling equipment in freezing temperatures, our devices provided Po Ki with a seamless content capture experience.

In addition to testing the devices’ durability, Po Ki took advantage of his advanced camera technology to capture the stunning landscapes and wildlife. For example, the Photo Enhancement Engine made it effortless to capture perfect photos with every shot. No personal expertise required, it uses AI to simultaneously apply settings from multiple shooting modes into one to deliver peak quality. From gorgeous, high-resolution landscape photos and videos to close-ups of polar bears, Po Ki was able to finetune every image for optimal detail, clarity, highlights, shadows, color, and bokeh, perfectly conveying the vastness and serenity of the Arctic.

For the first time, razr users can access Gemini¹ directly from the external display. Google’s Gemini app is a personal AI assistant to supercharge your creativity and productivity. Whether users need step-by-step instructions for a new project, help planning trips and activities, or assistance in writing thank-you notes or emails. Gemini can even help brainstorm ideas for enhancing daily life and seamlessly access information from Google apps and services like Maps, YouTube, Flights, Gmail, and Drive. Gemini is always there to provide support.

Plus, razr users will receive Gemini Advanced for 3 months with access to Google’s most capable AI models, at no extra cost. They’ll also get 2 TB of cloud storage and Gemini in their favorite Google apps like Gmail, Docs, and more—all included in the Google One AI Premium plan.

And with Magic Compose², users can receive suggested texting responses in various styles like Excited, Chill, Formal, and Short, enabling them to get creative with their messages.

Google Photos will soon offer Ask Photos, a new way to search photos with Gemini. Stay tuned for more information in the coming months.

When it’s time to edit these photos, users can open the new razr and use the latest AI-powered editing tools in Google Photos including Magic Editor, Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, and more.

Motorola and Google’s partnership also introduces moto ai features enabled by Google Cloud, such as Moto Magic Canvas. This innovative tool lets users create stunning images by simply describing them with text prompts, turning imagination into reality. Users can also take advantage of features like Style Sync for an added layer of customization. Style Sync creates personalized device wallpaper options when a user uploads a photo of a pattern from their outfit or surroundings.

Beyond AI, Motorola and Google have also partnered to bring razr and Android users alike, a more precise, convenient way to track their valuables. Expanding the Motorola ecosystem, the new moto tag is Ultra Wideband compatible⁴ and helps users locate everyday items like keys, wallets, and luggage via Google’s Find My Device network.³
